Melba June Kemp Hancey, age 60, passed away December 29, 1990 at her home in Salt Lake City following a long fight with cancer.

Born July 26, 1930 in Salt Lake City to Melvin William and Mary Ellen Butcher Kemp. Married Horace William Hancey on August 8, 1949 in Salt Lake City; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, August 8, 1979. She was an active member of the Edison Ward and worked for many years for the Utah State Tax Commission, Licensing Dept.

She is survived by her husband and mother, both Salt Lake City; sons and daughter, Jeffrey Hancey, Sandy; K. Barry Hancey, West Jordan; Mrs Robyn Kay Hancey Wiechert, West Valley City; eight grandchildren, John J., Lisa, Andrew William, Jeni and Nicki Hancey, Molly June, William Kemp and Loyd Earl Wiechert; sister, Mrs. Mary O'Neil, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by her father, two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services Thursday, January 3rd, 12 noon in the Edison Ward Chapel, 1401 West 700 South. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple on Wednesday 6-8 p.m., and at the Ward, Thursday, one hour prior to the services. Burial, Redwood Memorial Estates.
