Crittenden Press, dated 25 Aug., 1880, That W.T. Pickering, who was a citizen of the county until the close of the war, has been captured and placed in the Shawneetown, IL jail for a murder committed several years ago. He was once in jail for the same offense but escaped and had been at liberty ever sense until he was recently captured in Texas.
