TULSA, Okla. - Charles Gore, 57, a computer programmer, died Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Springfield, Illinois. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004, at Riverside Cemetery in Wichita Falls, Texas. Charlie was born November 13, 1946 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Throughout his life, Charlie developed a love and talent for fast-pitch softball. He was a respected pitcher and teammate. Charlie excelled as a computer programmer and developed computer programs for a variety of companies. Charlie was a Texan at heart, but traveled extensively throughout the United States, most recently calling Tulsa, Oklahoma home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Opal Gore, and a brother, Art Gore. Survivors include daughters, Beth Rasmussen and her husband, Mel; Katie Spaulding and her husband, Wayne; son, Andy Gore; and four grandchildren, all of Fort Worth, Texas.

[NOTE: It was brought to my attention by FAG member Donald Holder that Charles might not be buried in Riverside Cemetery (as the above obituary states). I got in touch with the contact for Riverside to check whether this was true or not. She told me that Charles was scheduled to be buried in Riverside but for some reason it was canceled. So at this point, Charles' burial is unknown.--Meg Wiley]
