Bill was the fourth and youngest child born to Agnes and Fred Robinson. As a youngster he performed "step dancing" for money in the local bar of his Brooklyn neighborhood. He delivered newspapers when he was older. He joined the Navy during the Korean War. He served on the USS Newport News CA 148, a heavy class cruiser. While in the Navy he met his future wife at the wedding of his cousin. They were married on June 6th, 1959 in Queens, NY. They had three children. They separated in 1984. Bill was employed by many various companys throughout his life, including Bulova, GM, Pinkertons, F.W. Woolworth, Quality Inn, Wells Fargo, ITT Cannon Electric, Continental Airlines, and the U.S. Postal Service. After his separation, Bill lived in Fullerton California with his brother Fred, who passed away in 1997. The cause of Bill's death was emphysema due to many years of cigarette smoking.
