George was a son of David Coleman and Mary Margaret Holmes HILL. He married Emma A. DULIN, 3rd child of John Thomas and Susan Jane Pilcher DULIN. (2 of George's brothers, David C., Jr. & John W. HILL married Emma's sisters Margaret H. and Lucy J. DULIN). George and Emma had 9 children, including a son, Henry S. HILL, who died in infancy in 1880, and is buried in Dulin's Graveyard. Tragically killed in an accident at the Ritchie County sawmill where he worked, George was only 48 years, 8 months and 21 days of age. He was buried 5 Sep 1896 in Dulin's Graveyard. His widow, Emma A. Dulin HILL raised their 8 surviving children alone and never remarried. She is buried in Mt. Olivet Ce., Parkersburg, WV with several of their children, spouses and kinfolk.
