James "Jimmy" Walter Rhynes, age 11, died last Thursday afternoon, July 22, 1954 at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Mt Vernon, Il. Death resulted from Lukemia. James Walter was the son of Mr and Mrs Ernest Rhynes, residing west Of Ina In Elk Prairie Township. The body was taken to Fry Funeral Home in Waltonville and will be moved to the family home south of Nason at five o'clock this afternoon to lie in state until the funeral hour. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters Nancy Lynne and Janice Elaine, both at home. His grandparents, Mr and Mrs Walter Rhynes of Ina and Mr and Mrs James Wells of West Frankfort, Il. Funeral services will be held at Elk Prairie Christian Church Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the Reverend J.G. Parsons and the Reverend Grant Hawkins in charge. Burial will be in Abner Cemetery in Nason, Il.
