Mrs. Ann Withagen Rites Held Saturday, Oct. 26 In Wisconsin
Mrs. Anna Withagen, Kaukauna, Wisconsin died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday October 23rd, in that city, following an illness of two years. She was born in Holland on November 2, 1887, and came to America in 1920. She lived in North Dakota and Minnesota before coming to Wisconsin. She returned to Holland for a visit in 1925 and 1951 again in 1955 when she flew there with her brother, Leonard Brysen.
Friends called at the Greenwood Funeral Home until the time of the services on Saturday morning, 8:30 a.m. from the funeral and at 9:00 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. Peter A. Salm officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. George McCarthy, Appleton, Wisconsin; Mrs. Alfred Jeske, Miss Anna Withagen and Mrs. Ed Swiechowski, all of Kaukauna. One brother, Leonard Brysen of Kaukauna and nine grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death on September 27, 1940. The family lived here in Paddock Township for many years. She leaves a host of friends in this community.
