Mr. Donald Lee Gustke, age 78, of Buffalo, Missouri passed away on Sunday morning, September 18, 2011 at his home in Buffalo, Missouri.
He was born November 6, 1932 in Liberal, Kansas, the son of Arthur Gustke and Estha (Tidball) Gustke.
Donald served in the United States Army from April 8, 1953 to March 19, 1955.
On January 9, 1956 Donald married Marlene Miller in Florence, Arizona.
Donald was a farmer all of his life and a member of the VFW, and the American Legion Hall in Buffalo, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons; John Weldon Gustke, and Arthur Paul Gustke, II., 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Donald is survived by his wife Marlene Gustke of the home, his daughter; Cindy M. Gustke of Buffalo, Missouri, his sister Kathryn Compton of Texas, 3 grandchildren, Matthew Gustke of Beline, New Mexico, Leanda of Idaho, Weldon Slack of Springfield, Missouri, and two great grandchildren; Sidney and Cadance Gustke.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Greer officiating. Musical selections will be "God Of The Mountain", and "The Old Rugged Cross". Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Matthew Gustke, Rodney Laurance, Dannie Hubbert, John Hensley, Tab Warren, and Luke Stormburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Arc of the Ozarks for disabled children, c/o Butler Funeral Home, 407 E. Broadway, Bolivar, MO 65613.
