Paul J. Hawkins, 61, of Siloam Springs died Friday at VA Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born on August 26, 1915 in Marble, the son of Owen and Rose Mae (Smith) Hawkins. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Hawkins; his son, Carl James Hawkins of Siloam Springs; his daughter, Danna Marie Hawkins of Siloam Springs; his mother, Rose Mae Philpott of Decatur; his brothers, Claude Leslie Hawkins and Owen Hawkins, Jr., both of Decatur, Fay Franklin Hawkins of Fairfield, California, and Paskel Boyd "Pat" Hawkins and Ray Orval Hawkins, both of Hugoton, Kansas; his sister, Marie Louise Hudman of Alamogordo, New Mexico; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Burial will be in Fayetteville National Cemetery.
