Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon in Providence Methodist Protestant Church for William F. Barnes an aged resident of Gamber, who died Friday November 1, 1933, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Brothers. He was a son of the late Solomon and Hannah Barnes and four children survive: J. William, Howard, Mrs. Mary E. Brothers and Mrs. Mattie Harris. He was aged 85 years, three months and twenty days. Members of the Junior Order United American Mechanics, of which he was a member, conducted the services at the grave adjoining the church. The Rev. F.B. Bailey conducted the services at the church. The pallbearers were: Clinton Shipley, Herbert Gorsuch, Theodore Poole, Irving Buckingham, G.M. Shipley and Moses Barnes. C.M. Waltz, funeral director.
