Mr. Baxter Riley Easler of Route 1, Box 2, Savannah Road, Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest Monday, February 14, 1977, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. C.L. Ishee and Julius Turner officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Al Durden, Woodrow McDonald, Jerry Wilson, Ed Sikes, Bill Chalker and Jim Swift. Mr. Easler, a native of McDuffie County, had lived in Augusta 27 years. He was employed in the maintenance department of Continental Can Company, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gracewood. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jean Whitener Easler; one son, Ray Easler, Augusta; one daughter, Linda Easler, Augusta; his mother, Mrs. Mary Johnson, Dearing, Ga., and three brothers, Edgar Easler and William Easler, Augusta, and Joe Easler, Grovetown, Ga.
