"Loved by all who knew him, Dwaine was born June 3, 1906, in Essexville, MI., and resided in many places during his childhood due to his father, James Cotter, being an educator (teacher, pincipal, superintendent).
Graduated from Williamston High School in 1927 and married Mary Alice Dahlgren on Sept. 7, 1941. Born to this union were Kathryn Joy Gilman 1943, Lynne Irene Truax 1945, and John Redmond Cotter in 1947.
After Mary's death in 1975, Dwaine married Mary Lorena Hulbert in 1977. He worked at several jobs-maintenance at Lansing's Capital City Airport, delivering new school buses for McFadden Corp., and at the time of his death, helping with the Head Start Program in Greenville MI. It could be said of Dwaine that he never met a stranger and would do anyting for his family or friends. Always dear to his heart were his grandchildren: Donna-Kaye Gilman,Amanda Bahmer, James,Joel and Jason Truax.
Dwaine had a life long intrest in amature radio and made many friends around the world.
