Wayne W. "Bill" Nagle, 82, of 1621 Harbor Road, Kissimmee, died Sept.22. Born in Momence, Ill., he moved to the area from there in 1978. He was a retired sheriff/police chief and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a Methodist. Survivors include his son, Gary Nagle, Kissimmee; daughter, Cindy Queen, Mooresville, N.C.; brother, Philip Nagle, Yuma, Ariz.; sister, Gertrude Kumke, Momence, Ill.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were held Sept. 26 at Cotter Funeral Home, Momence, Ill. Burial followed in Momence Cemetery, Momence, Ill. Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home, Kissimmee, was in charge of local arrangements.

Visitation for Wayne W. "Bill" Nagle, 82, former chief of police of Grant Park and deputy sheriff of Kankakee County, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Cotter Funeral Home in Momence.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. T. Wesley Wilkey will officiate.
Burial will be in the Momence Cemetery.
Memorials for the family wishes may be made.
Mr. Nagle died Thursday, Sept. 22, 1994 at his home in Kissimmee, Fla.
He was born May 13, 1912 in Momence, the son of Arthur J. and Martha A. Washburn Nagle.
His wife, the former May Lou Beam, whom he married Dec. 31, 1943 in Momence, died June 14, 1994.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Patty Nagle of Kissimmee, Fla; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mark Queen of Mooresville, N.C; one sister, Gertrude Kumke of Momence; one brother, Philip Nagle of Ariz; two brothers-in-law, Scebert Beam of Momence and Joe Beam of Seattle, Wash; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Nagle was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II in the South Pacific and receiving a purple heart, three bronze battle stars and two bronze stars.
