WAUPACA COUNTY POST
17 JUN 1920

Ordella WEBB was born Oct 18, 1837, in Oneida County, New York, and in girlhood came with her parents to Watertown, Wis., where she later married Hiram Green, who died in the Civil War.

Oct 15, 1865, she was again married to Hiram Green, a cousin of her first husband, who was a veteran of the Civil War, and in 1886 moved with her family from Watertown, Wis., to Baldwins Mills, where her second husband died seventeen years ago.

The summons came to her on Sunday morning, June 13, 1920, after many weeks of suffering, at the age of 82 years and nine months. Four children were born of the first marriage, and eight of the second marriage.

Of the first union two died in recent years, Mrs Drusilla Bel of Concord, Wis., and Mrs Ida Misner of Hinkley, Ill.; two sons surviving, they are Wm. Green of Fontanelle, Iowa, and Daniel Green of Somanauk, Ill.

Of the second marriage, two died in early childhood; a son Ross, about ten years ago; and five children are living. They are Mrs Andrew Benjamin of Jim Falls, Wis., Mrs Will Plowman of Ogdensburg, Wis., Howard of Weyauwega, and Sherman and Leonard of Baldwins Mills.

There are also seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren, besides other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

The deceased was an affectionate mother, devoted to her family and a kind friend and neighbor.

She united with the Baptist Church at Concord, Wis., in girlhood and had been for years a member of the Home Department of Maple Grove Sunday school. She endured her sufferings with Christian fortitude and has had the kindly ministrations of her children to brighten the way.

She was liked by everyone. We shall keep her in loving memory and hope to meet again in the "The Land that is Fairer than Day".

Funeral services will be conducted at the home, Wednesday p.m. at 2 o'clock by Rev L.H. Lewis, pastor of Maple Grove M.E. Church, and interment will be in Baldwins Mills Cemetery.

The family have the sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement.
