Memorial services for Margaret Bernhagen, 95, Mitchell, who died August 12, will be held at the Will Funeral Chapel Wednesday at 2pm. Burial will be in Bluffview Cemetery at Vermillion. Mrs. Bernhagen was born Dec. 22, 1889 in Miner County to Mr. and Mrs. John Hoffman and married Max Bernhagen in 1948, in Milwaukee. She moved from Fedora to Dubuque, Iowa, where she lived for seven years. Moving then to Rock Island, Ill., she worked there during World War I. She later moved to Milwaukee and worked in a furrier business, selling fur coats for 25 years. In 1965 she returned to Mitchell and maintained an apartment until 1974. She then lived with Mr. and Mrs, Victor Schorzmann until going to a nursing home. She was a member of the Congregational Church. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and four sisters. Memorials may be sent to the United Church of Christ, Congregational, to be used for the organ fund.
