In 1850 census of White Co. Indiana, Matilda Vandeventer is 1, daughter of Christopher Vendventer (47, NY)and Elizabeth Vandeventer (39, OH). With them were siblings Isaas S, 18; Maryann, 15; Morgan, 13; George, 11; James, 9; Ira and Eliza Jane, 6; Margaret, 2; all born in Indiana.

In 1860, Matilda Vandeventer was 11 in Richardson, Nebraska.

In 1870 Nebraska census, Matilda Prouty (21, Indiana) was wife of Elijah J Prouty (25, PA) with J Earle Prouty (1, Nebraska)

Sylvia or Cylvia Prouty married William C Wright in Adams Co WA on May 29 1892. J Earl Prouty married Augusta C Schlueter (shown on document with umlaut, in transcipt as Schluter) on Mar 24, 1897 in Adams Co WA
Carrie M Prouty married L P Zimmer on Mar 5 1898, in Ritzviller, Adams Co WA

In 1900 census of Ritzville, Adams Co, WA, Matilda Prouty (b. Oct 1849, Indiana) was wife of John C Prouty(b. Mar 1845, PA) , married 32 years. Her father b. NY and mother b. OH.

Sylvia J Wright, 34, died in Seattle WA on 11 Aug 1908. Washington state archives transcript lists father as "Elizah Prouty" and mother's maiden name as VanDeveten.

In 1910 Seattle Census, age 61, PA, father b. NY, mother b. Ohio, with her husband J Elijah Prouty, 65, PA.

Also with them was William C Wright, daughter Carrie M Zimmer (29, MO., divorced).

A Biographical and genealogical history of southeastern Nebraska lists Matilda, b. Oct 10, 1848, widow of E.J. Prouty of Washington, with three children. It reports that Christopher and Elizabeth VanDeventer were married Feb 10, 1831.

Note 2 links to her husband's memorial; he was buried in one cemetery and later moved to lakeview.
