John E. Foos Final Services Held at Howard
Funeral services for John E. Foos, Jr., Mitchell, were July 11 at the Willoughby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willis Dixon officiating. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Artesian. Pallbearers were nephews Frank Foos; Sergeant Bluffs, Iowa; Ben Foos, Omaha; Albert Foos, Woonsocket; Lee Foos, Mitchell; Tom Foos, Howard; and Bobby Drown, Fedora. Mr. Foos was born December 14, 1901 at Roswell to Mr. and Mrs. John Foos and died at a Mitchell hospital July 8. On September 16, 1922, he married Hazel Drown. Mr. Foos was a livestock dealer. Survivors include his mother, Mitchell; a sister, Mrs. Ann Searl, DePue, Illinois; and four brothers: Peter, Madison; Jos., Roswell; Henry, Woonsocket and Francis, Howard. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1966, his father, a brother, and one sister.
