Born Aug 2 1837, he was son of William and Margaret Sheridan Beers, both born in Ireland, was married, a farmer, lived in Oakland Township, died there of cirrhosis of liver, per death certificate 39395, whose informant was George I. Beers. Buried Apr 11 1910.

William Crawford Beers died at his home in Oakland Township, near Dempseytown, Saturday, April 9. He was born at Montreal, Canada, August 2, 1837.

In the early '60s he came to this section and located in Titusville, where he was engaged in the oil producing business in the field in that vicinity in partnership with his brother, Johnstone Beers.

He is survived by his wife and children, William, Moses and Albert, Kearney, NE, Egbert of Hillsboro, IA, George of Dempseytown, Mrs. Charles Kirkwood of Rouseville, Mrs. George Harper of Kaneville, and Mrs. D. Rothfuss of Oil City.

Services were held Monday afternoon with Rev. A. S. Leonhart officiating. Interment was in Dempseytown Cemetery.
