The widower of Alberta Robbins Davis, who died August 23, 2008 after 69 years of marriage, he was a self employed truck driver and farmer.
He was born September 8, 1918 in Fayette County, the son of William Alexander Davis and Delia Glover Davis and lived all his life there.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and growing flowers in his garden.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Stokes (Paul) of Hickory Withe; two sons, Murray Davis (Cecelia) and Terry Davis (Kathy), all of Somerville; 3 grandchildren and 2 great- granddaughters.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 infant children, a brother, A. W. Davis and grandson, Cliff Davis.
