Funeral Saturday For Mrs. Burleson

Mrs. Martha F. Burleson, mother of Mrs. J. A. Baker, died at the Baker home at 11:45 a.m. Friday following an illness of about three days.
Mrs. Burleson had just passed her 92nd birthday, having been born on April 8, 1866. She was very active about the Baker home where she lived for a number of years.
Services will be held from the First Methodist church Saturday at 4 p.m. with the pastor, the Rev, Roy H. May officiating. Burial will take place in the City Cemetery.
Mrs. Burleson was born in Llano, the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Ware Deats, natives of BreMan Germany, and the state of George respectively.
She was married on December 4, 1895, to R,C. Burleson, and the family had made their home in Austin and in Williamson county until the couple moved here to make their home with Mr. and Mrs. Baker.
A member of the Methodist church for some 76 years, she was graduated from Stuart Seminary in Austin,
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Baker, this city; and Mrs. Madge Clark of Corpus Christi; one son, R. R. Burleson of Corpus Christi; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1945.
