Born Nov. 23, 1946, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Billy J. and Alma Branham Sexton. He was a Paintsville city sanitation worker. He was preceded in death by a brother, Vencil Sexton; and a sister, Doris Sexton. Survivors include his wife, Judy Fairchild Sexton of Paintsville; three sons, Phillip Eugene Sexton, Randy Lee Sexton and Jeffery Sexton, all of Paintsville; three daughters, Glenda Burke of Van Lear, Tammy Sexton of Hager Hill and Melinda LeMaster of Oil Springs; 11 brothers, Lee Sexton, Ernie Sexton, Keith Sexton, Mike Sexton, Bob Sexton, Johnny Bill Sexton, Gary Sexton, Albert Sexton and Stanley Sexton, all of Paintsville, and Steve Sexton of Thealka; two sisters, Joyce Baldridge of River and Deloris Hill of Paintsville; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 9, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Revs. Doug Crider and Wendell Isom officiating. Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
