Sadie Mitchell Farthing Saunders was in Chestnut Level, Va. to William Edwin Farthing and Allie Mae Davis Farthing and grew up in Caswell County, N.C. where she graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School. She retired from Dan River Mills as an inspector and was a member of Moffett Memorial Baptist Church where she helped with Beginners Sunday School Class and WMU. She was also a member of TOPS, loved gardening, and helping the elderly.
