Rudolph Carsley Quesenberry left his home on Horse Ridge to be with the Lord on September 15, 2011. Born October 21, 1937, Rudolph was the son of the late Curtis D. and Ettie V. Quesenberry. In addition, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvis, Avis, Glen, Eugene, and Ronald Quesenberry; and a sister, Phyllis Keith. He retired from Roanoke Electric Steel after 30 plus years of service. After retiring, he was able to enjoy spending time with his family, flea marketing and gardening. Rudolph never met a stranger. He touched the lives of many with his great sense of humor. Rudolph was much loved and will be sadly missed by many. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Pearl R. Quesenberry; sons and daughter-in-law, William and Virginia Quesenberry, Adam Quesenberry; daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Scott Allen, Elizabeth and Timothy Cox; granddaughter, Krista Cox; grandsons, Hunter Allen, Travis Cox, Elijah Quesenberry, Jonathan Allen, Garrett Allen; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Mitzi Quesenberry; sisters and brothers-in-law, Liddie and Ralph Weeks, Sadie and Edward Underwood, Mattie and Clinton Compton; sisters-in-law, Mozell Quesenberry, Joyce Quesenberry, Lucy Quesenberry. Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Duncan Chapel Church of the Brethren with Pastor Stanley Hawkins and the Rev. Kenneth Poston officiating. Family will receive friends from noon to 3 p.m. before the service. Interment to follow in Sumpter Cemetery.
