OPERATION KILLS MRS. T. F. FARNAM

Palouse Woman Leaves Husband and Four Small Children

Mrs. Lucinda Farnam, aged 30 years, wife of T. F. Farnam, died Tuesday night in a Spokane hospital, following an operation for gall stones, which had been performed during the morning of the same day. The sudden death came as a shock, not only to the members of the family, but to the many friends of Mrs. Farnam in this community. It is thought that death was due to a weak heart, she having never entirely come out from under the influence of the anesthetic.

Mrs. Farnam leaves a husband and four children, three of them small; an aged father, A. J. Choat, and two brothers, C. W. and Hamlet Choat. She had been for years a consistent member of the Christian church in this city. The body was brought from Spokane Wednesday evening, over the Spokane & Inland, and the funeral will take place at 2 o'clock today from the Christian church, the Rev. Francis A. Ware conducting the services.
