Last rites were held Sunday in the Tuttle high school auditorium for Lloyd B. Harris, 39, who died suddenly Thursday, Feb 3 of a heart attack. Mr Harris was a truckline owner and has operated a truck line for many years. He was found dead at the east edge of Tuttle in one of his trucks. He had resided in the Tuttle area for about 30 years. He was a Mason, Eastern Star, member of the Methodist church, Lions club, & Tuttle Roundup club & the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Alta Mae and a 2 year old son, Richie Lee, a daughter, Rita Elaine,eight months old of the home in Tuttle, his parents, Mr & Mrs W.A.C. Harris of Tuttle, and a sister, Mrs Vera Snow of Tuttle.
Bro A.G. Allen officiated at the service. Music was provided by a choir consisting of Mr & Mrs H.E. Long, Mrs I.C. Githens, Mr & Mrs Quentin Bomgardner, Mrs J.S. Smedley, Mrs Ralph Hovis, Mrs J.W. Callahan, Mrs Frank Wortman, R.B. Stevens, Roy Franklin, & Hardin Green. Active pallbearers were: Hubert Wester, T.E. Bobier, Horace Potter, Stevie Chenoweth, Lloyd Watt, Russell Hambleton, Johnny Rawlings, & Virgil Gannaway. Honorary pallbearers were: Lon Bassett, Jim Bassett, Raymond Coit, C.C. Powell, Joe Hartin, J.B. Hambleton, Ernest Roberts, Leonard Hubbard, Bill Hayden, Forest Kimble, Floyd Kimble, Phil Baliey, Dr. J.F. Renegar, James F. Renegar, Clyde Jones, Murl Sipe, A.B. Dakin, & Dan Gourley. Masonic services were held at the cemetery.
Burial was in the Fairlawn cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of the Sowers funeral home.
