Donald Lloyd Barnhart, 89, of Washington, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington. He was born July 29, 1922, in Greene County, a son of the late John L. and Salee Sprowls Barnhart. Mr. Barnhart was a graduate of Richhill Township High School in Wind Ridge (Jacktown) and was a retired custodial worker for Trinity School District. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 99th Infantry, and he also was a member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church. On May 19, 1946, in Rogersville, he married Ruth P. Nelson, who died November 29, 1993. Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis Kendrick of Fairmont, W.Va., and Linda (Joseph) LaRocka of Hickory; a sister, Helen Morris of Washington; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
