Allie Jane Harris was born April 29, 1926 in Harlan County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Leander Jones and Chloe Jones. She is survived by her three children, Barbara Sweazy and husband Donald of New Albany, Indiana, Marvin Harris of Florida, and Mark Harris of Somerset, Kentucky; one grandchild, Kim Sweazy; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her eight siblings, Coleman Jones, Lester Jones, Lloyd Jones, Louise Herron, Effie Pinkley, Oma Jones, Oliver Jones, and Arlie Jones.
Alllie retired as a lunch room cook at Jefferson County Board of Education and a member of Farmdale Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky.

The funeral service for Allie Jane Harris will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Swiss Colony Cemetery in London, Kentucky.
