MONTPELIER, Idaho - Jerry N. Bird, 72, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at the Bear Lake Memorial Skilled Nursing Facility in Montpelier, Idaho. Jerry was born on Jan. 4, 1935, in Dingle, Idaho. Jerry was the youngest of five children born to Ray and Arvilla Nowland Bird. Jerry lived most of his life in Dingle where he attended school and worked on the family farm. Jerry worked for many years as a ranch hand for the Quayle and Nate ranches. Jerry enjoyed a lifetime of hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling, especially his trips to Jackpot and Wendover.
Jerry married Kolene Marshall on Aug. 23, 1985. They enjoyed four years of marriage until Kolene passed away. Jerry was also preceded in death by his parents, sister Venna, brothers Walter and Reed, and brother-in-law Lyman H. Bunn.
He is survived by his sister, Edith Bunn, sister-in-law Flora Bird, five step-children, Jim Marshall, Rick Marshall, Pam Raney, Karen Friess, Jennifer Swa; five nieces and nephews, 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren,
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thurs. Dec. 27, 2007 in the Montpelier Second Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the famioy for 1 hour prior to the services Interment will be in the Dingle, Idaho Cemetery.
