CHARLES KIENZLE VICTIM OF POISON
POST MORTEM EXAMINATION IS CONDUCTED TO LEARN IF SUICIDE
HAD BEEN DESPONDENT
GREENSFORK MERCHANT WHO SUFFERED HEAVY LOSSES BY FIRES FOUND AT BARN
GREENSFORK, IND, MAR 24--Mystery surrounds the death of Charles Kienzle, 50, who died suddenly after suffering great agony since Friday afternoon. The suicide theory is advanced by Drs. R. C. Morrow and S. C. Barkley, of Richmond, who conducted a post-mortem examination. Dr. Kerr, the attending physician, said Kienzle had died from poison. Another theory is that he had contracted ptomaine poisoning from a spoiled sausage which he purchased in a Richmond meat market last Friday.

At the post-mortem examination the physicians removed the stomach with the intention of sending it to the state laboratory for a chemical analysis.

The suicide theory is gaining credence on account of the knowledge that Kienzle has been despondent over his financial troubles. He was formerly a merchant in Greensfork and is known to have lost heavily in the two fires last summer. He was threatened with law suits last week by creditors.

Kirkzle was taken sick at his barn Friday afternoon and lay there in great agony for some time. He they went to the house and a doctor was called. The. page from the poison were so severe that several times he writhed from the bed to the floor during the night. He died in great agony Saturday.

The physicians found the internal organs of the man in healthy normal condition, excepting a slight enlargement of the liver.

Kienzle leaves a wife. His body will be buried at West Lawn tomorrow afternoon.
