Fred Gay of Rockledge, FL died at home. He was the son of Dudley and Nell Gay. At age of 18, he entered the Florida National Guard, went on active duty during the Berlin crisis, returned home as a 2nd Lieutenant and continued to serve in the National Guard until he left the service as Company Commander. He worked in the parts department for Bob Ennis Olds Cadillac on Merritt Island as a salesman, sales manager and general manager. After 10 years, he became a partner at Marconi Pontiac and then owner of Quality Pontiac GMC Trucks. His community and volunteer service is lgendary with hardly an organiation in Brevard County in which he didn't participate. Surviving are his wife, Jana; daughters, Michelle North, Nicole Lato, Dottie Matteson; siblings, Trena (Bob) Hopkins, Kathryn Gay Gutierrez, Marilyn Gay Winkler (predeceased) and Donald (Beverly); three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
