MILVERTON, Oct. 22. The death occurred early today of Mrs. Christian Alles. 84, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Debus, Ellice township, following an illness of three weeks. Mrs. Alles, formerly Louisa Schenck, was born in Wilmot township, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Schenck. She was married 61 years ago to Christian Alles, who predeceased her 33 years ago. Following her marriage. Mrs. Alles lived in Ellice township for 28 years, moving at that time to Milverton. Following the death of her husband she returned to Ellice township where she has lived with relatives for the past 17 years.
Surviving are two step-daughters. Eva, Mrs. John Mogk of Stratford and Mary, Mrs. Charles Buuck of Kitchener. One step-son, Henry Alles. predeceased her in August, 1940, and another, William, died in 1906. Four sisters and five brothers also predeceased her. Eight grand- children, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild survive.
The funeral will be held Friday with private services at the home of George Debus. Ellice township, at 1.30 o'clock, followed by public service at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Moserville, at 2.15 o'clock. Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery. Milverton. Rev. John Mendelsen will have charge of service.
