Monday, May 6 at Sayre


James Wesley "Jack" Allison, age 73, Rt 2. Sayre, died Saturday, May 6, in the Sayre Memorial Hospital. Memorial services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Sayre First Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Coffey and Rev. Alvin Hedin officiating.

Burial was in the Lone Oak Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.

Born Dec. 14 in Jacksboro, Tex., Mr. Allison came to Buffalo community with his parents. He attended school at Short Creek near Berlin and graduated from Blue Ridge School north of Sweetwater. Mr. Allison married Myrtle Ethel Boyd March 20, 1926 at New Liberty.

He was employed with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company until retirement. He was a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Chnurch(sic) since 1922.

His parents, one daughter, two brothers, one sister preceded him in death.

Survivors are 1 daughter, Mrs. Emma Lou Baker of Compton, Calif.; 1 son, T.J. of Sayre; 1 brother, Eldon "Slats" of Lawton; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren .
