Miss Pearl Janette Farnsworth, 82, Route 2, Ripon, who lived in the Town of Green Lake, died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Ripon Memorial Hospital where she was a patient for six days.
Born Feb. 24, 1888, in the Town of Green Lake, she was the daughter of Edward and Marion Fortnum Farnsworth. She was educated in the Town of Green Lake and was a former teacher and bookkeeper. She lived in the Town of Green Lake, at Sheldon, Iowa, and for the past 11 years in the Town of Green Lake.
She was never married. She was a member of Eastern Star and of Sheldon Congregational Church at Sheldon, Iowa.
Miss Farnsworth is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Laura Hazelwood of Markesan and Mrs. Bessie Bordner of Washington, D.C.; and one brother, Dr. Harry Farnsworth of Providence, R.A.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, with the Rev. Homer Retzlaff officiating. Burial will be in Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake.
