Funeral services will be held for Maggie Hebert Ray at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 14th, at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Bro. Stephen Boyd will officiate. The interment will follow at Arcadia Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia.

Mrs. Ray was born April 23rd, 1922, in Colfax, LA. She entered into rest on Saturday, September 10th due to severe injury from a bad fall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Randolph Hebert and Nancy Jane Hebert, two brothers, Algie Lee Hebert and wife Willota and Johnnie Hebert and wife Claudine, and her husband of nearly 49 years, Sidney L. Ray.

For many years Maggie worked at Morgan & Lindsey's (later G.C. Murphy's) in Rayville, Louisiana. In 1951, along with her mother, she became a founding member of the Arcadia Church of Christ. Her dedication to her Lord was seen over the next 60 years in her faithfulness and involvement in the work of that congregation.

Maggie is survived by Virginia Gulledge, Janet Miller and husband Tommy, Tommy Hebert and wife Jenny, Reggie Hebert and wife Cora Faye, Gareth Methvin and wife Justine, Delane Murphy and husband Don. She also leaves behind numerous great nieces, nephews, and dear friends, notably Shonna Upton.

Pallbearers will be Reggie Hebert, Dustin Gulledge, John Hebert, Charles Thomas Miller, Mark Upton, Don Murphy and, as honorary pallbearer, Gareth Methvin.
