Lifelong resident of Fort Fairfield, Larry graduated from Fort Fairfield High in 1952. He went on to receive a BA in Business and Economics from University of Maine (1958) and a Bachelor of Legal Letters from the University of MaineSchool of Law (1968).
He married Phyllis M Hay in 1957.
He was a former partner in the law firm of Marden, Dubord, Bernier, Chandler and Ayoob in Waterville. In 1969, Larry joined Walter Sage in the practice of law in Fort Fairfield and was sole practitioner of Ayoob Law Office since 1988.
Larry was a former member of the American Bar Association, Maine Board of Examiners, a former director of Key Bank; a past president and director of Community General Hospital. He was a member of the Maine State Bar Association, Aroostook County Bar Association; director, secretary and clerk of First Citizens bank; director of Aroostook Valley country Club for many years; member and past advocate of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1753; and member of the Fort Fairfield Development Corp.
