Ludwig Lewis Lecklider is also known as Lewis Lecklider. He was married to Catharine Shiffler(sp varies). Lewis was buried elswhere, nearby, but due to necessity, only his tombstone(not body) was moved close to the original David's Church.His was not the only tombstone that was moved. There is a row of tombstones, including his next to the church. His son John's tombstone is next to his.
Lewis was one of the original trustees of David's Church.
He moved to Ohio from Frederick Co.,Maryland.

Some records say that Lewis married Catherine Creagar/ Creager . Due to a difference in birth dates and the fact that no one in the Creagar line has verified her existence, many people believe that Catherine Shiffler was more likely his wife.Catherine was buried next to her daughter Elizabeth who married a Thomas Creager. They are all buried in the Cemetery of David's Church, in Kettering ,Ohio. Catherine's grave is still in its original location, further back in the cemetery. (Note added September 9, 2021)
