The 3rd Regiment, Missouri State Militia Cavalry was enrolled between 16 January 1862 and 21 March 1862. They were mustered between;16 January 1862 and 18 April 1862. The Regiment was discharged on 1 September 1862. The Colonel in charge was Walter King.
