Memorialized on tombstone of parents George J Ford and Maria (Thornhill) Ford. Bernard was missing in action in WWIIin 1942. He was an aviation machinist mate in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Bernard is also memorialized on the wall at the Tablets of the Missing at The National Memorial Cemetery of The Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu, Hawaii. Military records list a death date of Dec 4 1945 (guessing that is when he was officially declared dead)
