Elsie was a homemaker and a member of the Martin Branch Freewill. Baptist Church since the 1930's, she was the daughter of the late Ballard and Amanada Cox Hunter and was born on March 1, 1913 in Knott County Kentucky.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, first husband E.K Hicks, second husband Ballard Thornsbury, three brothers and three sisters, she is survived by a daughter Delores Boleyn of Ft Wayne, Indiana and several neices and nephews. Services Tuesday April 20, 2010 at 11 AM at the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, Kentucky.
Burial will be at the Hop Cox Cemetery on Rock Fork Road in Knott County Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The United Christian Baptist Church at 1341 Rock Fork Road Garrett, Kentucky 41630 or Martin Freewill Baptist Church Wayland, Kentucky 41666 or the Charity of your Choice.
