Jo Mackie lived with her parents in Atlanta, Fulton Co., GA until her 1st marriage to Walter Sims Mooney c1942 in Atlanta (she was his 2nd wife). She and Walter lived in Memphis, TN until his death on 29 Oct 1960. They had no children.

She 2nd married Hubert Edwards c1968 in Atlanta.
