Calvin Cecil Adams, 66, of Star City died Sunday at his home. He was born January 2, 1944 in Dumas, AR. He has been under the care of Arkansas Hospice Care for the past 6 months. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart during the Tet Offensive in South Vietnam, only 6 months after his arrival there.

Preceding him in death are his father; Cecil Henry Adams and his brother; Lonnie Ray Adams.

Survivors are his mother; Geneva Adams of Prairie Grove, wife; Nancy Mizell Adams, son; Billy Earl Adams and wife Teresa of Star City, step son; David Chance and wife Sheila of Scott, daughter; Casey Jo Day of Elkins, W. Virginia, brother; James Adams and wife Gladys of Star City, sisters; Ruby Jo Epps and husband Don of Lincoln and Carolyn Cox and husband Jack of Harrison, six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M., Thursday at Holly Springs Cemetery near Star City. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.

Honorary Pallbearers are Skip Wallace, Jim Adams, Don Epps, Larry Baxter, Ronnie Adams and Ronnie McKinney.
