LaVida B. Kieslich, 98, formerly of Hazel Green, WI, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Southwest Health Care Nursing Home, Cuba City, WI. Services will be on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City, WI with Pastor Calvin Hughes officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home, burial will be in the Hazel Green Cemetery, Hazel Green, WI. LaVida was born on March 6, 1913 in Hazel Green, WI, daughter of Jesse L. & Edith (Kendall) Kittoe. She married Harvey W. Kieslich and together they farmed in the Hazel Green area until their retirement and moved into Hazel Green. She attended the Hazel Green schools and was a member of the Hazel Green United Methodist Church. She was an avid sports fan of The Chicago Bulls (she was a Michael Jordan fan) and of the Chicago Cubs. LaVida enjoyed traveling, cooking and time spent with family and friends. She will be loved and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by: her daughter, Darlene Simmons of Cuba City, WI, her grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. LaVida was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Harvey on September 10, 1971, a granddaughter, Donna Mullen, sisters; Iona Murray, Genevieve "Cute" Riek and a brother; Phil Kittoe. In lieu of flowers a LaVida B. Kieslich Memorial Fund has been established.
