Lyle Virgil Colborn Dies in California -
Word has been received in this office of the sudden death April 4 of Lyle Virgil Colborn, 48, at his home in Oxnard, California.
Lyle Colborn was born November 24, 1923 to Lisle and Rena Ferris Colborn at Palmer. He went to California in 1941 where he made his home in Los Angeles until he moved to Oxnard. During World War 2 he served in the navy on a repair ship.
He married Miss Jerry Inman on January 20, 1945 in Pasadena. To this union four sons were born: Neal of Ventura, Gene of Oxnard, Barney in the Air Force stationed at Sacramento and Rocke at home.
Besides his widow and sons, he is survived by his mother, Rena Colborn of Simi Valley; a sister, Beth Whitley of Gardena; two brothers, Ralph of Simi Valley and Jerry at Santa Ana; two nephews and ten nieces. His father, Lisle Colborn preceded him in death in 1957.
He was a nephew of Mrs. Alvah Gee of Palmer.
