US Congressman. Served in the United States Army during the War of 1812. Elected to represent New York's 15th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1805 to 1807. Also served as a Member of the New York State Assembly from 1816 to 1819, Delegate to the New York State Constitutional Convention in 1821, and Circuit Judge from 1823 to 1833.
