Jayne Wyckoff- Evans, 85, of Sapulpa, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital Hospice Care in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born April 17, 1926 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Cordyn and Tennie C. Jennings. During her lifetime she worked as a Realtor and as administrator for the Tulsa Planning Commission in Tulsa, Ok. In 1972 she transferred to Chicago, IL with her husband Richard L. Wyckoff (deceased) where she worked for Amoco and College of Dupage. She is preceded in death by husband Lewis Evans, her mother and father, her sister Sue Bell, and brothers Cordyn and George. She is survived by daughter Patricia A. Palmer, Chicago, IL; daughter Merry Jane Eversole and husband Henry, Houston, TX; son Richard L. Wyckoff, Jr., Chicago, IL; and son Mark Lane Wyckoff and wife Pat of Summerville, SC.; step-children Lewis Leon Evans and wife Mary of Boerne, TX; Delores Jeannine Hill and husband, Garry of Velma, OK; daughter-in-law, Charlene Marie Evans of Bixby, OK; and 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grand children. Jayne and her recently deceased husband, Lewis, were members of the Horizon Travel Club and Grand Bank Grand Adventures Travel Club where she served on the Advisory Board since it's inception. They spent the last 10 years traveling around the world. She was an avid quilter and china painter and instructor of both. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Sapulpa, Ok. Officiating will be the Dr. Allen Schneider. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa, OK.
