Lykens - William R. Keiser, age 76, of Lykens, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at home. William was born April 29, 1935 at Lykens, PA and was the son of the late Marion R. Sr. and Winnie Forester Keiser. He was a 1953 graduate of the former Lykens High School and was a machine operator for Handy and Harmon Tube Company, Norristown, PA. He was a member of the Handicapped Camp, Linglestown, PA. He enjoyed cooking, writing and reading.
He is survived by his wife Midge M. Jenkins Keiser; two daughters, Barb Carlin and Craig Malone of Millersburg, PA and Mamie June Keiser and Ron of Williamstown, PA; one brother Marion R. Keiser Jr.; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son Billy Keiser.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the John R. Shultz, Funeral Home, 406 Market St., Lykens, PA, with Reverend Benjamin B. Brown officiating.
Interment will be Odd Fellows Cemetery, Lykens, PA.
