David M. SMITLEY (1929-2006)
David M. Smitley, 77, of Dunbar, Fayette County, Pa., passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006, in the Beverly Health Care, Waynesburg, Greene County, Pa. He was born May 7, 1929, in Uniontown, Fayette County, a son of the late John Benjamin Smitley and Elizabeth Mathews Smitley.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Moore Smitley; children: Benjamin Smitley and wife, Jana of Fla., Barbara Spriggs and husband, Larry of N.C., Sharon and Libby of Ga., David Smitley, Jr. of W.Va., Robert Smitley and wife, Brenda of Ohio, Jerry Smitley and wife of Okla.; brothers: Robert of Georgia, Junior of Texas, and Jerry of Jumonville, Fayette County, Pa.; and sister, Hope Galderish, of Pennsylvania.

His parents and a brother, Buddy, and a sister, Margaret, preceded him in death. Friends and family will be received on Saturday from 1 to 9 p.m., and Sunday until 2 p.m., the hour of Service in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, Dunbar, Pa. Pastor Roger Yeager will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Mount Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar.
