Benjamin was the son of Benjamin Wesley and Nancy C. Berry Welch. The family was in Leon Co, TX in 1900. His father is buried in Mount Olive Cemetery in Mooresville in Falls Co, TX. Benjamin shares a stone with his wife, Ida Newlan Thompson Welch. He died at his home in Montalba in Anderson Co, TX.

B.F. WELCH OF MONTALBA DIES
Benjamin Franklin Welch, 76, died at 3 a.m. in his home at Montalba. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Montalba Methodist Church with the Reverends Noble Atkins, Marvin Johnson, and William Webb officiating. Grandsons will act as pallbearers and interment will be in Holly Springs Cemetery. Mr. Welch is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. M. C. Kennedy and Mrs. Ernest Beasley, both of Montalba, and Mrs. Walter Kiser of Palestine; six brothers, W. D. Welch of Pearsall, S. H. Welch of Marlin, J. W. Welch of Teague, Tull Welch and G. M. Welch, both of Waco, and W. S. Welch of Montalba; one sister, Mrs. Texana Ingraham; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
