Services for Nan Ethridge, 80, of Slaton will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, in Bible Baptist Church with Chris Downer officiating. Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Nan was born Aug. 9, 1931, in Slaton. She passed from this life Sept. 9, 2011, in Lubbock. She was a longtime resident of Slaton, graduating from Slaton High School in 1949. Nan married A.C. Ethridge on Dec. 20, 1948, in Lovington, N.M. They also lived in Pagosa Springs, Colo., for five years before returning to Slaton. She was a medical records transcription specialist.
Nan was preceded in death by A.C. in 1998, and sons, Allen in 1953 and Robert in 1987.
Her survivors include her sons, Thomas of Ralls and Mark of Slaton; brother, David Elder of Lubbock; sister, Martha Rasmussen of Slaton; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
