Benedict was the son of Christian Plank 1775-1858 and Margaret (Denton?) 1782-1854
Came to Missouri from Tennessee. Family story is he was killed by a kick from a horse or mule. He had settled in the Short Bend area.
There has been alot of confusion of where he is buried. There is a marker here, which is very close to where he lived. Some claim he is buried in Tune Cemetery. There is no marker at Tune for him there, but there are alot of unmarked graves in Tune Cemetery.
